Can I just ask "why?"
Why homemade buns?
Because...
...I love it when my house smells like fresh bread.
...baking bread is cathartic for me, and gives me a sense of accomplishment, even though it's easy.
...it's cheaper than buying "good quality" buns at the store.
...you can't get any fresher than homemade, and homemade buns usually taste better, too.
...I'm just that way.
Plus, on the evening I was making those homemade buns, there was very little effort involved in the rest of the meal, so I had creative cooking energy to spare!
